THE CHALLENGE

Why this matters on coastal NC

WHAT HOMEOWNERS SAY

Real feedback on our deck construction

“The composite deck has been through two hurricane seasons without a single loose screw. The stainless was worth it.”

Homeowner

“Old deck was PT that rotted out in eight years. New one is composite on stainless — should outlast us.”

OUR APPROACH

The Wind-Zone Framing Spec

Every deck we build is framed to your county's wind zone rating — 130 mph on most of our coast. Hot-dipped joist hangers, stainless fasteners, and hurricane straps are standard, not upgrades.

FROM MARK LIPE

Deck Construction done right is invisible — it just works through the next storm and the next ten tides. That's the standard.

FAQ

Questions about deck construction

>

PT vs composite vs IPE?

PT is cheapest up front. Composite splits the difference and skips most maintenance. IPE costs the most and lasts the longest. We help you do the 20-year math.
>

Do you replace existing decks?

Yes. We demo and haul off the old deck, inspect framing, and build the new one to current code.
>

Cable rails on the water — do they corrode?

Not if they are 316 stainless. We install only 316 cable on coastal NC decks.
